11th New Orleans Bookfair and Media Expo this Saturday

Absolutely one of my favorite events every year. The swath of local, regional and alternative publishers and authors represented here is staggering and the attitude is very DIY. They have moved this around over the years, from Central City to the Marigny and now across from the Saturday am farmers market held on Magazine and Girod. This location means it will be nicely ensconced in the lovely little garage behind Bittersweet Confections, which I hope does not mean it will lose its street vibe.
