Katy Reckdahl is a New Orleans-based news reporter who's a frequent contributor to the New Orleans Advocate and has written for The Times-Picayune, The New York Times, The Daily Beast, and the Christian Science Monitor.
Kathleen Flynn is a photojournalist at The Times-Picayune l Nola.com in New Orleans. Before joining the Picayune last January, she spent a decade at the Tampa Bay Times. Her work has received numerous awards. In addition to community journalism, she has also covered the tsunami in Thailand, immigration in Mexico, post-conflict Liberia, India’s booming pharmaceutical industry, the wars in Afghanistan and Haiti.
