The rebeginning of Fair Grinds 09-2005 to 06-01-2007

Faubourg St John is a bit livelier and a lot more reconnected today, since our beloved fair trade coffeehouse has reopened and looks better even than it did before the storm.
Robert and Elizabeth have spent the last 2 years tearing out walls, reimagining the space while they were at it, and while they were covered in dust, , giving away free coffee every day (with some help from friends).

We all stopped by, had a coffee at times, and looked longingly at our tables stacked up in the corner, wishing we could be in our 3rd place every day. When will it be back, we asked each other when we met at other spots around town. Are they almost done?
Well, it is now all done and ready for you and your dogs, friends, kids, flyers, meetings, rants and raves on the front benches, love affairs started in line, arguments behind the counter, in front of the counter, debates about pastries and bagel choices, gossip, chess games, new friendships and whatever else can happen in a happy village square.
And get ready to wish them a happy anniversary; believe it or not, they opened for the first time on August 29, 2002!

3133 Ponce de Leon. 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. 7 days a week.
