What is Lagalou?

Peter Berg from Planet Drum Foundation: "In Ecuador the playing out of social beliefs, intentions and priorities has a different emphasis...Things get done but the society is able to manage without industrial style infrastructures. For lack of an existing term to describe this I offer lagalou." Clearly, Peter sees that warmth and camraderie replace officialdom and frustration.
